Improving Response Times to Patient Needs

Integration of patient monitoring systems with time sensitive information being sent to pagers, LED signs and wireless telephones greatly enhances patient safety initiatives by providing a secondary notification, or safety net, to ensure rapid response to critical events. Real-time alarm management of point-of-care systems such as patient monitoring is enhanced via the Fusion IAM Series by routing descriptive information real-time to ensure certain patient conditions are communicated to busy mobile care providers. Clinicians are enabled to better meet the increasing demands of thier patients, from noncritical advisory notifications to mission-critical alarms and events.

No PC or Server Necessary

The Fusion Series IAM is a network appliance with a standard industrial 19" rack mount enclosure to fit easily in most environments. This self-contained architecture does not require a PC or Server and results in a lower total cost of ownership and ongoing support considerations.

How It Works

Clinicians receive real-time alarms and events such as V-TACh, ASYSTOLE and LEADS OFF as a secondary means of notification, or safety net, to provide higher levels of patient safety. Patient data conditions are collected from the patient monitoring system, constantly analyzed, filtered, and triggered alarms are configured to be routed in a descriptive manner to virtually any communication device without a caregiver needing to be tethered to a monitoring screen or constantly within audible alarm proximity. Both bedside and telemetry alarms can be distributed real-time to the appropirate caregiver in the form of a descriptive text message.

Seamless End-to-End Solution Available

In additoin to the Fusion IAM Series, Integrated Messaging Solutions offers best-in-class paging transmitters and pagers that are designed with the specific needs of health care users as top priority. Health care organizations are offered the flexibility to leverage communication device interoperability and can also deploy the seamless design of and end-to-end solution.
